Almost there, almost safe. Loki had made it to New York City, all the way from Quantico in Virginia, without any major problems. However when a twig snapped behind him - the son of Hermes and former FBI agent knew he was being followed. Luckily for camp and for him, Loki was far enough away that the agents of the DCA and his former colleagues would just think he was bouncing from city to city, trying to stay one step ahead of the agents tracking him. Dressed in dark jeans, black converse and a hoody under a leather jacket, he looked just like any other young adult in this city.
In all honesty, Loki wasn't surprised that of all places, they'd found him here in New York. It still wouldn't make any difference, they'd never take him alive. So far they'd expended vast amounts of resources and numbers of agents on trying to bring him in. He knew far too many state secrets for them to let him go free, especially since now he was perceived as the 'enemy' just because of his parentage.
Stood on one of the many main streets in the city, Loki pretended to check a map and making sure to keep his head down and hood on, move off. His demigod senses were tingling enough that he knew that the agent who'd spotted just a glance of his face had called for backup and was pursuing on foot. Loki had a plan - take out the agents before leaving the city and moving for Camp Half-Blood. Maybe he'd plant a false trail if he had time, one which suggested he was making for the American-Mexican border. One thing was clear in his mind though - there was absolutely no way he would be making his way to Camp if there was the slightest chance than an agent would follow him. The last thing he wanted to do was to bring the location of the camp to the DCA's knowledge. He'd give himself up first.
------------
Notes for Heaven: Perhaps we shouldlet them get to the outskirts of the city or a park, then they can string up the agents on a tree. Mwahahaha.

How long had it been since she'd left Texas? Maybe a week? Yeah, that sounded about right. She hadn't wanted to leave, but when someone threatens you with a gun, just because of your parentage, then you leave and run. She wasn't any kind of coward, but five against one, when the one was armed with a sword and a long handled axe, and the five had guns, you took your chances and retreated. The question was, where should she retreat to? She didn't have anyone else in the world that could protect her. She hadn't heard from Alice, or Lori, or even Cole in seven years. She hadn't heard from people that she had grown up with in almost a third of her life. The only place that would welcome her would be camp, and she wasn't even sure if the damned thing was still standing. For all she knew, it had been burned down by the DCA.
She had made it as far as New York City, using her powers to hitch hike. There had been one guy with bad things on his mind, and a meat cleaver in the back of the truck. A few seconds later and his will to kill her was gone, and he was more then happy to drive her to North Carolina. She had picked up another ride from there, hoping he wouldn't hurt anyone else. Of course Death Song had helped her with slashing his tires.
Camp, if it was still there, wasn't that far away now. She just needed to go a little further. She was so tired though. It had been days since she'd had a full nights sleep, and her strength was beginning to flag. Praying to Ares had been no help. She had known, though, that she would find no help from her father. He didn't believe in helping his kids out like some of the other gods did. She was a Child of War, she should be stronger then this.
She was dressed in a pair of torn black jeans, her trusty steal toed leather boots, and a black tank top. Her long black hair was pulled back into a braid, and she was was wishing that she had brought a jacket with her. October in Texas was still warm, going down to the 80's or so, but up north it was much lower then that, with a biting wind. She cursed softly, knowing that she stuck out without a jacket. maybe she would be lucky and people would only think she was a 'hard core goth girl'. She had enough ink and metal for the thought to cross their minds.
She cursed silently when she saw two DCA agents in the distance. She hoped that they wouldn't recognize her. Fat chance of that. 'Shit," she growled under her breath. She needed to get out of there, and soon. Where could she lose them though? She wasn't all that familiar with the city, not any more. She turned quickly, long black hair whipping out behind her. She bumped into someone, rather hard, and cursed again. She caught a glimpse of curly black hair, and black clothes, before she latched onto his arm, rather painfully. "I don't want to hurt you," she whispered, ready to push any negative emotions away from the guy. "All you need to do is act like we're old friends, and walk with me until we lose those suits behind me." With that, her dangerous expression fell away and a big smile took its place as she laughed about a pretend joke. "Oh, wow! I haven't seen you in forever! how are you?" She tried so hard to drop what Southern drawl she did have, hoping to throw the DCA off sooner.

Loki continued on down the street, his footfalls muffled by the sound of traffic and chattering people. If they only knew just who he was, he was sure that they'd all be running screaming. The main topic he could hear was the activity of the police forces and government forces - many people just walked past chattering happily, sticking their noses in where they didn't belong. Discussing the possibility of murderers, terrorists, if another country would bomb the hell out of the US. Of course Loki wasn't sure exactly how much they knew of demigods, but he was sure that if these people found out one was among them there would be a mass panic. People always ran from what they didn't understand.
The son of Hermes continued on his merry way down the street, stepping over the bits of litter left on the floor by careless people, the random twigs dropped from dogs jaws. If the nymphs knew about the mess in this city, they'd flood it with bugs and stuff. Loki smirked, just one fond memory of his time at camp was causing the Ares cabin to get bugged by nymphs. That had been an elaborate prank, but it was so worth it.
No. He couldn't get caught up in memories right now, it would do him no good. All that would happen is he'd get caught by those stupid agents. He had to get back to camp, back to safety. Loki kept moving down the street, checked his watch for the time before a question jumped to his mind. Was Katy still at camp? She always did have a tendency for wandering off, just like him. He knew she was safe, well she was safe a few weeks ago, they'd been exchanging letters. He pulled himself out of his memories for a second time, at a sudden jolt. Someone has crashed into him, or he'd crashed into them. Whichever wasn't important, but the next few moments with rushed apologies would just give the agents time to move closer and encircle him. Loki had seen that tactic used before, on a son of Demeter when he was passing through a small town in rural Virginia. Sadly he'd not been able to help the demigod - there were too many agents and they'd already wrestled the poor boy to the ground by the time Loki had gotten closer, pushing through the crowds.
Loki glanced down, catching sight of a dark haired girl with piercings, before looking back up - yes, the agents were moving faster now. They'd clocked him and probably had backup on the way, which meant Loki had moments to escape. Then the girl he'd bumped into did something strange, she seemed to threaten him, asking him to pretend to be an old friend and walk away together. Then she mentioned the suits. So, she was on the run too? Well, acting - Loki could do. Besides, this could just be his ticket out of here. He wouldn't put it past the DCA to put mortals in the way and if anything happened blame it on the demigods. But still, any way out was a way out.
Looking at the girl's face, Loki put on an expression of surprise. "I know, how long has it been! Seriously we should go for coffee one time." He glanced to the agents - nah, it hadn't worked. One of the suits met Loki's gaze and quickened his pace. The son of Hermes looked back to the girl. "Sorry girl, didn't work. You've been seen with me, so we should probably run now." He smirked his Hermes smirk, then took off, gesturing to the girl that she should probably follow.

He looked somewhat surprised when she had latched onto his arm, but he had gone along with her plan. She untensed slightly, still clutching onto the young man's arm. They wander off, talk like old friends, lose the suits and then she'd ditch him and dash. Simply, right? Wrong.
Ah hell, was all she thought, with a quick backwards glance at the quickly moving DCA agents. She quickly took off after the guy she had threatened, catching up with him soon. This wasn't the first time she'd ran from the DCA, and if she could chase down a startled horse, she could catch up with a human. "Been seen with you?" She forced out between her breathes. Why would being seen with him matter any? They were after her, right? "They're after me! I thought that I'd lost them back in Mississippi." She manged to give the local DCA the slip. Ok, she might have gotten into a fight with several of them, but all she had done was disarm them and knock them out. Her sword and axe had stayed safely in their charm forms. of course, with her black belts, she was just as dangerous without a weapon.
Wait, her mind sharpened at his confession. They were DCA agents, she was sure of it, and if he thought they were after him, then- "You're a demi-god too? Damn it to Hades, this is just my luck. " It had been seven years since she had seen another demi-god, other then when she purchased her pegasi stock, and within the hour of being in New York City, she had ran into one.
Well, if nothing else, there was strength in numbers...

He hurtled down the street, the girl quickly catching up to him. Weaving in and out of the mortal commuters, Loki chanced a glance back to see that the suits had broken into a sprint. He looked back forwards just in time to see they were coming up to a crossing - one which hadn't gone green for pedestrians to walk on.
Ah, to Tartarus with it. They didn't have time to wait for the stupid light. Loki dived straight out into the traffic amid passerby shrieks of shock and car horns blaring, and got to the other side safely, waiting for the girl to join him. The DCA agents might not take the chance he had. He took in her words as she crossed. She'd thought they were after her? Then it sunk in at about the same time his words sunk into her. "Ah hell, you're not a mortal." He cursed. This complicated things. The DCA were chasing not one, but two demigods, and two demigods would also draw in the monsters faster than one. Since the amount of demigods outside camp and DCA custody were dwindling, the food supply was running out, and they were both at a higher risk now. Not that Loki wasn't sure they could handle it.
Having caught his breath, Loki took off again, making sure that his new found accomplice was following. The DCA agents had stopped at the traffic lights, clearly less suicidal than him and the girl - or less desperate. They were talking into walkie-talkies, so Loki assumed that the backup must be nearby. "They've got backup coming. Lets cut into the park down there and see if we can lose them. Less chance of civilian casualties if it comes down to a fight too."

"Of course I'm not mortal! I'm keeping up with you, aren't I?"It was true, she thought as she dodged cars that honked loudly at her. Any mortal would have had an almost impossible time trying to keep up with the taller demi-god. If he had been a Hermes child, like one she knew from her old camp days, he would have been impossible to catch, even for her.
She took a moment to glance behind them after the guy had, cursing loudly as she saw for herself that back up was, indeed, on the way. They just never stopped, did they? If they were lucky, they would only be chased by humans. It was more likely, though, that they would call in some of their special turn coat demi-gods to track them down now that she had back up of her own.
"If it comes down to a fight, without innocent mortals near by, I can take them." She quickly reached to her necklace, feeling for Deathsong and Nightshade. The small silver sword charm and black axe charm were both still in place. If it came down to a fight with the bastards, this time, she wouldn't hesitate to draw one of her weapons. They would, at least, be able to help deflect the bullets. After all, both weapons were presents from her Father and they would never break and would never lose their edge.
She hadn't had a good fight in ages, and they needed the suits off their backs. She didn't want to prove to the DCA that she was a dangerous person,. but she was when threatened. "Lead the way."

As they ran down the streets, dodging pedestrians with outraged looks on their faces at being shoved aside and spun round, Loki smirked at the girl's tone despite their predicament. Was that a bit of exasperation he heard in her voice? Well, in this situation he didn't blame her. Loki himself was panicking just a little, he knew the consequences if they got caught. He'd heard the rumours.
As they ran Loki noticed the girl taking a moment to have a look, and saw she'd seen exactly what he had. Backup was drawing near, they had to make a break for it now, and properly. Loki lightly twirled the gold ring around his finger, wondering when exactly to transform his ring out into its true form of a spear. The girl was right, it would be best to enter a fight well away from any civilians even as the agents drew closer. The park was the nearest option. "Lets go then." The son of Hermes flashed his companion a mischievous smirk and ducked into the park.
Loki ran for the cover of the trees, trusting that his new found companion would be following closely. He really doubted whether she'd want to be caught after all. Skidding to a halt just under the trees, Loki bent over and looked back. "I reckon they'll find us here soon, at least there won't be any civvies caught up in this though." He straightened and offered his hand. "Not really the time for introductions, but we might as well. We have a few moments. I'm Loki Knight, son of Hermes."
