Charlie didn't much care for mounted combat, but what she really loved was taking her favorite horse out for a ride every week or so. Sometimes she would take him out daily but Christmas had been keeping her super busy. Today was a fairly warm day as far as winter was considered. It was about fifty or so degrees and from the long winters that she had weathered in New York and in England. "Hey there, been a while hasn't it? I missed you loads Rune." The white and brown horse nickered and nuzzled his nose into her hands. Charlie brought out an apple she had pilfered from lunch earlier and gave it to the eager horse. It nudged her back as she went to get a brush to start brushing the coat and tail to make sure that Rune was good to go.
Charlie set to oiling the saddle and started to hum a song. Rune bobbed his head, as if he was approving of the song taht she was singing. "Things have been quite interesting lately." Charlie said to Rune before spreading more hay down in the stall for him. There was an Ares girl that was in charge of the stables, she had made it clear that if people were gonna take out the horses they had to take care of them. Charlie really didn't mind taking care of Rune, brushing out his tail and mane, spreading out more hay, it was easy to do and a bit theraputic to boot. Besides other then Fiona and Allan and Archer, Rune was the only horse that she could really talk to and not bother to give her something she didn't want to hear. It was nice to just talk out her problems to someoen and come to a conclusion all on her own.
Maybe she should talk to her sister or work out her agressions out in the arena. But to be quite frank, Cole, the Arena Master, scared her and she wasn't quite sure how to talk to her sister even though she had been much more help than anyone else she talked to. That's what sisters were for. She loved her nephew and he was great, but Charlie didn't know how her sister managed to keep up with the little tazmanian devil. Charlie continued to hum and stroke the horse with a brush.
