Laying Down the Furs [Jukka]

April ran the last two boxes of Zephyr's stuff over to his apartment with Eliza, she didn't worry too much about it because it seemed like they were packing up that place too. According to Eliza, they were moving into some magical mansion out in the Hamptons but were still technically living in camp... April was too excited to get all the details, she was getting her love back, for good.

She ran back to her apartment and started to clear off everything that she could, the place was going to be sparkling for Jukka when he walked in. As she finished wiping off all the dirty counters, she said a little curse about Zephyr's cleaning habits.

Looking around, April stood in the middle of the open floorplan, hands on her hips, trying to figure out what else could be done. Then a lightbulb went off in her head, she hurriedly grabbed some ingredients down from her baking shelf, which had been left untouched with zero surprise to her.

Soon the place was overtaken with the smell of sweetrolls; cinnamon and sugar surrounded every inch of air, it was honestly heavenly even for her. Smiling, April cleaned up again and looked down at herself, and sighed slightly she was wearing a floured covered apron over her jeans shorts and tank top, definitely not a "Welcome Home Honey Lets Bang", but she didn't think she'd have time to get dolled up before Jukka arrived. Besides, she wanted to figure out what she would be making for lunch and dinner, Zephyr was a bit smaller than Jukka and probably ate way more in the long run... So she was going to be planning meals for four so there would at least run a chance for left overs.

Laughing at that thought, she set up the table, lit a couple unscented candles, straightened up the pillows on the couch and beat the huge recliner's seat a couple more times so it'd be soft and comfortable. April was going to take care of Jukka this round, like it or not.

For the first time, in a long time, Jukka felt like he was at home. He collected up some stuff from the infirmary and it all fit in a single box. The rest of his stuff had been delivered and someone had even said they were being brought to the apartment. He was tired and even though the infirmary beds were comfortable, it didn't seem like there was enough sleep to be had in a place that kept poking and prodding you every hour on the hour. Was it really nessicary to take his blood pulse and make sure his pupils were diulating at three AM? But as of now, the thing that made Jukka smile the most, was the fact that he was about to move into an apartment with the most wonderful woman in his life. It was nice have someone that really cared about him. Jukka never really had much dealing with women when he was younger since his mom left him in a cave. Jukka always swore he wouldn't put himself in a position like that ever again. But it was soemthing about putting himself in the hands of one April Cleaver, Jukka trusted her.


The box was easy to hold as he made his way into the apartment block. These hadn't been here when he last left. Maybe they had just been building them but he wasn't sure about that. It was still hard to remember things. Being with April was helping his memory. He walked along the path before coming to the apartments. Jukka was rather happy that he wouldn't have to be stuck in a cabin with his siblings. He was older and it was something that had grown old rather fast since he was like thirteen. At first it was pretty cool to have a huge amount of people around him, it was quick to get old. Jukka spotted his boxes of things outside an apartment door, even the furs from his past recent hunting trip had been delivered. He tossed them over his shoulder before knocking on the door.


The smell that had come from the door was something that was just heavenly. He had to wipe his drooling chin before knocking once again on teh door. HE didn't know what was being cooked in the apartment, but it just smelled like home. Jukka turned the handle of the door before pushing it open. "HEy April?" He called, trying to at least announce himself before barging in, just in case she was in no decency to recieve people. He would have to get used to her in her underrwear, if she was that sort of kindda girl.

April was just pulling the sweet rolls out of the oven and drizzling them with their glaze when there was a knock at the door, calling out, "Come on in!" No one entered... Furrowing her brow, guessing she heard something, she shook her head and went back to work, then she heard another knock...

Yelling a bit louder this time, "Get your ass in your home!" She laughed a bit, finishing up her last bit of glaze frosting on the rolls before lifting them and gently placing them on a cake stand in a nice little tiered pyramid of yumminess. Hearing her name she smiled, walked out of the kitchen to see Jukka poking his head in, "Sweetheart I love you wanting to be courteous and stuff, but this is your home too, so get in here and get comfortable. I made you some sweetrolls for breakfast."

April walked over to him, wiping her hands off on her apron, "Here let me get a box or two... Got told I still have to make sure you don't over do anything, still healing and what not... In fact just set the others down right there, you deserve a chance to explore... after you shove food in your mouth first." She smiled brightly lifting the top box off of the pile and balancing it on her head like she learned in Africa and Asia. April headed back towards the kitchen and paused for a moment to pat the big recliner.

"Anyways, welcome home handsome, kick your shoes off and get comfy, I'll make you a plate for breakfast." April was beaming with excitement and happiness right at that moment, she could honestly say she felt like a Disney princess right then... She was pretty close with her weird, kinda freaky, backstory.
