Leo lifted up the large metal wrapped wooden crate, shifting it up onto his shoulder, cradling it just slightly with his neck; his mind was on the new adventure that was unfolding in front of him. It was his first real chance to get to play with as much building material as he could ever dream of having. All the different metals brightly shone in front of him, the different types of wood stacked around, just waiting for someone to work them into something great.
But today he would have to wait, he was on custom armor duty, he was already working on a tiny simple chest peice, some gauntlets, and a helmet for his favorite sister, but this also meant that anyone who came in with the right kind of drachma would be getting their fitting and designs set up.
It was a bit of a kill-joy job, you could wind up with some awesome ideas, but many times people wanted ridiculous idealized armor that would do nothing in real battle, it was all for the looks, the Hephaestus cabin had to make a compromise to make it also functional....
Which was sometimes much more of a hassel than he'd like to admit. But Leonardo knew how to put on a semi-happy face, at least to make sure that his cabin kept up in high standing with their working skills, which wasn't all that difficult, but perhaps their social skills needed to be upheeved as well.
He heard someone walk into the small area that was the "design and fitting room", it was more of a strangely bright, octagonally-shaped room, with a small round raised floor in the center. There was a design table to the left and on the right wall was mounted all the different metal, leather, and wood samples. Right as someone enters there is a bunch of examples of different peices of armor and pounded in designs for people to choose as bases for their peices if they so choose.
Leo honestly would prefer it when people gave him free reign over the design, he knew what worked and what also looked good, he enjoy customization and the chance to be creative and artistic. He may have been best at furniture and buildings, but he didn't slack in the armor and design department much.
Realizing he knew he heard someone at least open the door, Leonardo set the large crate right by the design table, lifting up his very large frame, he turned and put on a slight smile, his deep voice booming in the small room, "Welcome to the forge, what can I assist you with today?" He chuckled and his wide chest swelled from the pride in those words.
