Fiona bounced through the big house, peeking her head into doors here and there, she was enjoying her time as she spun around and let her boots click against the hard wooden floors beneath her feet. She was carrying a thick leather case as she walked towards the infirmary. Today she was turning in a bunch of different creations of hers, there were burn balms, skin ointments to clear up any kind of poison plant rashes or bug bites, some antivenoms, and a couple of pain relievers, which was the most requested.
Also in her bag she had included her psychoactive fruit-flavored gummies, she was turning them in for the staff to use at their discretion. They were meant for people who were having mental issues with the situation around them. Everything that was happening was causing intense psychological problems for many demigods, Fiona's recipes were meant to assist them in escaping to a safer mental place where they can work through everything or just completely separate themselves from reality for a temporary amount of time. It was all meant to make things better for people, just to give everyone a chance to safely change, perhaps just a change on the way they view the world around them.
As Fiona walked into the infirmary the smell of alcohol and gauze took over her nose, she took a deep breath, truly enjoying it. She had fallen in love instantly with her surroundings. It was bright and clean, lots of room with white curtains surrounding white sheet covered beds. It was very simple and basic, but was comfortable enough for a short stay for most people. Fiona wished it had more flowers to cheer it up here and there, also to help filter the air around the room.
Walking over to a large desk, Fiona set the case on top of it, opening up the buckles then pulling out the multiple labeled plastic bags and the plastic cleaned take out containers that had been brought to her. They weren't the best things out there but they were the only options she really had available to her at the time. She smiled a bit at herself as she realized how much of everything she had made, there must have been about thirty pounds worth of supplies here and that was just her first delivery.
Fiona felt a pride in herself that she had not felt really ever, it was different and a great thing in one. She was able to describe what she was experiencing other than just a high without the plants, it was strange. She was unsure just if she liked it or it was just so new and interesting. As she spun around to go and wash her hands off from all the handling of plants, Fiona jumped as she turned around right into someone's body behind her. Staring up at them, "Uhm... hello."

Josh had been working out in the huge wall, he was determined to beat that wall once and for all, he didn't have any trouble when just hiking the wall, it was peace of cake, he had always been good at sports, no what always beat him was the lava pouring from the top. As a Khione kid, hot stuff wasn't good for him, and lava... well it didn't even had to touch him to make him feel dizzy.
That morning he woke up and got prepared to beat it, he wanted to get to the top no matter what happened to him, and well he shouldn't have gone there with that thought in mind, because it really happened, He was almost at the top, he had already being able to move in the right moment so the lava didn't touch him, he felt dizzy with the hot temperature there, but yet he did it.
But when he got to the top everything was lost, a river of lava came right at him, he covered his body with ice absolute zero Ice but not fast enough, the lava touched his right arm and left a really nast burn on it. so after coming down with the help of a couple od satyrs, he walked to the Infirmary all by himself, he didn't like the help of others.
He walked into the place looking around, he needed a medic, but he didn't know well where to find one, he had always been in there, well... unconscious, never got there on his own foot. Suddenly someone almost jumped on him she looked at him and smiled. She greeted him and he just frowned a bit more. "medic?" he asked holding his right arm with his left one, his right arm was completely covered in Ice.

Her mind was off in her own little tangent, thinking about bringing in flowers and all the different things she could do to spruce up the infirmary. Her smile was wide and across her lips, she turned as she heard someone walk in, expecting one of the staff.
Fiona's smile faded almost instantly as she turned around and saw the young man in front of her's face, then she heard his words and her mind began working for a mile a minute trying to recall where all the staff were.
As she looked around for a moment and realized she was the only person in the infirmary at the time, she took a deep breath, closed her eyes, gathered her thoughts, and proceeded to take over the situation as best she could.
"Okay. First off, take a seat on that bed over there," she pointed over towards the closest bed, "and get that grimace off your face, I know its painful, I'm not expecting a smile, but I mean... lets be a little thankful you aren't dead."
Her voice was stronger than its usual sing-song style, but she took her time to walk around grabbing her supplies; her own aloe-based intense burn salve, a bitter orange-marigold antiseptic spray, plenty of gauze, scissors, and tape.
She went over to the bed and closed up the creamy-white curtain behind her, "I'm going to have to cut the sleeve off your shirt, hope it isn't special." She set all her supplies up on the small stand and sprayed the antiseptic on her hands, giving them a quick cleanse.

Josh looked the surprise in her face and the youth in it too, so he thought inmediately that she wasn't a medic, maybe she was just a camper that would like to be one someday sp she spent her time in the infirmary, checking how to help others, but she wasn't a medic, right? "no... wait..." he began to speak when she told him to go and have a seat. he needed a real medic, not an assistant.
He sighed and sat on the bed, then looked at her, she walked fast and tried to get all what she thought that might need while she was trying to heal his arm, that for someone who was born from Khione, it would be very slow and painful, lava was more for Ares, Hephaestus or even Proteus kids, not people like him!
She came back and put a lot of things on the tray next to his bed, then she looked at his arm and told him she would have to cut his shirt and that he should take off that grim face! He rolled his deep blue eyes and and sighed loudly. "this shirt is burnt anyways and my face isn't like this because of the pain." he half lied, it really hurt, but it was also because he hated to ask for others help.
He touched the ice covering his right arm and it just transformed in snow, so Fiona could check his arm. "cut whatever you need to cut from the shirt" he said and then looked at her. "are you sure you know what you have to do?" he sounded kind of worried.

Hearing his slight obvious uncertainty, Fiona never took a single second to give it another thought, she knew that she needed to focus, his arm was definitely burned up and if she didn't get to it soon it could fester, becoming worse.
"Don't object, just do..."
As she saw he had done as she asked while she gathered the materials, she smiled slightly to herself, but quickly corrected her expression to a furrow brow of concern and determination. Fiona had studied apothecary arts and medical journals since she was quite young, this was the one true area of expertise she truly had. She wasn't well schooled in anatomy and knew she was no surgeon, nor really a doctor, she was not going to be able to identify people's illnesses just by looking at them, but when it comes to homeopathic remedies for ailments and treating injuries, she was well versed.
Sighing as he rolled his eyes, her mind's voice was beyond sarcastic, lovely a demigod with attitude, how unique. Yet, somehow, Fiona held her tongue, instead she grabbed the scissors and started cutting his shirt. Sighing admitting it to herself, even if it mad her uncomfortable, "I'm just going to cut it off, it will be easier to treat the arm and ensure there are no other burns, even minor ones can be Hell."
As she finished gently, but quickly cutting off the major sections, "You can get the rest off yourself..." Fiona turned her back towards him to let him do that, putting the scissors down and picking up the antiseptic again.
As she shook the mixture, Fiona looked over her should just a bit so just the side of her face was seen, "This is a deep burn, no surgery is necessary, but you were pretty lucky, if I don't treat it, the wound will turn for the worst and you may have to lose that arm of yours..." Her expression stayed calm, but she knew that there really was a chance of that happening if the burn was not treated.
"Now unless you want to try and be the next Luke Skywalker, you are going to let me do what I have to do to keep that from happening. I promise that I do know what I am doing, that is the one thing I can do." She nodded her head, turning back to focus on the mixing of the salve with one of the basic healing potions that was already prepared. "This is just going to make it heal up quicker, nothing as great as an Apollo kid's powers, but its a little magic push."

Josh looked at her and frowned a bit more, she was bossy and at the same weird time sweet, she seemed to be a good girl, she had been smiling not long ago, but as it happens within nature, when winter comes, everything freezes and lost its bright and smile, that is what he brought to her that day, no more smiling. She started cutting his sleeve, he didn't even make a sound when she started cutting it.
When she told him to get the rest off by himself, he looked at her and then own at his shirt, he didn't get really well what she wanted him to do, but well she wanted it off, he would take it off. He took the shirt off and put it in front of him on the bed. "ready" he just said and waited for her to finish the mixure of the potion or whatever she was making. As he waited her replied to her comment about hell. "I'm a Khione son, even summer is hell for me"
Then she looked at his arm and checked it, she told him how bad it was, and he sighed looking away, he knew how close it had been, and if he hadn't used his powers, he would be by that moment fired-Josh. So she was right he was lucky of being alive. Then she made a funny comment about a character of a mortal movie, Star Wars, which he loved. So he couldn't hold the laugh back.
He laughed with a loud snort, then coughed a bit, breathed deeply and cleared his throat, then he stommed laughing and even smiling. "I would have to ask Archer for a new arm, right?" he said and then looked at her, she told him about the healing potion. "thank you" he whispered the last two words.

Fiona took another deep, low breath before getting to work, she turned back to him and a slight blush came over her face with him being shirtless, but she could see that he had no other real damage to his body. A slight cough came up from her throat, but she turned her head into her shoulder to stifle it. "Uhm, yeah, ready."Calming herself again, she walked over and set the spray bottle and the glass jar of her mixed up salve on the bed, kneeling down just a bit, "Well its a good thing that you were able to react so quickly... I'm assuming its a climbing wall injury, considering most of you Khione kids treat the forge like it will kill you... Then again it could, so probably in your best interest." A soft smile came over her face, as she went about making sure that she knew where exactly he had been hit, as he laughed, Fiona felt more comfortable and her natural smile returned. A small chuckle came from her as he snorted, it was rather surprising, but as his face returned to stoic, hers stayed bright and shining, "He'd probably give you one that turned into one of those Mega Man arm canons... You know instead of lasers maybe you shoot giant ice balls." Smiles almost ear to ear as she grabs the spray bottle of antiseptic and some gauze. "Just one warning, this is going to be painful, if you'd like something to keep your mind off the pain I can give you it. You can choose if you'd like to take a bit of a trip or just want to have the numbing effects... It just means I will have to take more time as I keep concentrating on your other systems as well as your arm, but its fun... always at least when I'm around."

Josh tried not to look at her, for some weird reason she was making him smile, and he shouldn't doing it, his family died because of him, they protected him and he was laughing? no! that couldnt be possible! they weren't able to laugh anymore, so he wouldn't laugh either. He looked away, at a window that was closer to his bed than the others, he could see part of the camp from there, so he would focus there and not on her kind warm words.
then she mentioned the forge and how lucky he had been on the wall, he sighed and nodded at her words, but didn't look back at her, he wasn't going to let her kindness and warmth make him forget why he hadn't really smiled since the moment he got to the camp. "we act as if it could kill us, because if we would stay near the forge for a long time, it would for sure, kill us" he said and his voice was flat again, lifeless.
then she tried to joke again, now a very popular video game, and he remembered it, but he also remembered he used to play that one with his older brother when he came home for the holidays, so he just half smiled and then sighed. "yeah, that would be a good weapon, right?" he looked at her and showed her his half smile and his sad eyes, then he looked back at the window again.
When she told him it would hurt he breathed in deeply, then he nodded. "just do what you need to do to heal my arm as fast as it can be healed" he said and swallowed waiting for the pain in his arm.

A slight furrow came over Fiona's brow as she noticed him looking away, she softened her smile, maybe this was not the best situation to be grinning like Cheshire... She wished she was in Wonderland right then, maybe things would be easier. Fiona physically shook the thought out of her head, its easy to become addicted to ones dreams and fake worlds, but here she needed to be planted firmly in reality. She focused her attention on just fixing the boy's arm and letting him go, not everyone was as well, offbeat as Fiona, she sometimes forgot. "Yeah... Understandably." She nodded her head, her smile still somewhat there but much less bright than before, she feared she was going to do something to offend him, and in his predicament that probably was not the best choice. An almost giggle came from her voice as she started to respond to the mention of it being a good weapon, but before she could get her words out, her brow furrowed more as his eyes were truly filled with an emotion Fiona herself was not used to. It knocked her back a bit mentally, but her soft smile stayed and she continued her work. "That it would be a good weapon... Maybe knock back the lava next time you chose to climb that damn demon wall."She intended to make this process as quick as possible, which sadly meant it was going to be quite painful. "Please tell me if it gets too much, I promise to be gentle as well as efficient and quick, but this stuff is going to clean out your burns extremely well..." She took a deep breath and lifted the spray bottle and made the first couple sprays, dabbing up the excess as she went with her gauze. The bleach white gauze was already turning a dark black-brown-red color from the burns, it made her stomach churn just a bit but she was not going to let even a little queasiness stop her from helping the young man.

Josh heard her voice when she agreed about him dying if he got close to a forge for a long time, it sounded kind of sad, or better said serious, as he thought him being close to her was like bringing winter to a spring place. He sighed and then looked at her again when she talked about the wall, he half smiled and nodded at her.
It would be awesome that he could have an ice weapon in his arm, that way, as she said, he could be able to beat the wall without a problem, but then... it wouldn't be him, but the weapon. "It would be nice, but I rather beat it up by myself, and next time I will do it" he kept his half smile on his face, he was trying to give a bit of sunlight to the winter that he was, when in Winter you see a bit of sunlight, you like to go out and have fun, well maybe his smile would bring back hers.
Then she told him that it would be painful, that he should tell her if it was too painful. "don't worry, I'll be fine" he said and breathed deeply before she sprayed the medicine on his arm. It was as if you had just sprayed acid on his arm. He clenched his eyes and hands, she could see how his muscles tensed and got tight by the pain, but he didn't say a word or a sound to show that it had hurt.
He opened his eyes and breathed deeply trying to keep the painful yell in his throat, he looked at her again and smiled with a weak smile. "I'm fine, it almost didn't hurt" then he breathed deeply again and looked at his arm.

Fiona just focused on her task at hand, even though the half smile the boy infront of her was showing did give a glimmer of hope that maybe she wasn't being her overly crazy self. Perhaps her friend was right in saying she was weird, but it was just her trying to be friendly... Guess that's all she could really try. She nodded her head once again, "Seems you are pretty darn determined, so might as well try ya' know... And if you almost die again, just come back and we should be able to patch you up and send you right back out." She laughed a bit, but she knew most people would quit, but it was nice to see someone foolhardy but still it showed he wasn't a quitter. Taking a few moments of silence as she worked, she could tell by his body language that there was definite pain coming from the spray, but it was for the best, she finished it as quickly as possible. She was gentle but she knew that the longer it set the more painful it would get, the burn was recent enough to need tons of set in time luckily. As she moved she hummed softly to herself, it was her way of keeping concentration. Finally she finished up and threw all of the dirty gauze into the metal bowl on the side table. Her humming never ceasing. As he smiled and spoke, Fiona just nodded her head, knowing that it was a lie but she would never straight up call anyone on that, especially when they were putting on a brave face. She knew she'd be crying instantly if someone sprayed the stuff on her arm. She paused for a moment and lifted the jar that contained her little healing mixture, "This is going to be cold, not as cold as you are, so it will probably feel natural and nice on you. I'm going to put on this first application, but I'm going to send you out after your nights rest here with a couple jars of it, basically for the next week you're going to reapply it when you wake up and when you go to bed... If you are an insomniac like me, well then when everyone around you goes to sleep." She chuckled softly and went to work, her humming coming back, the mixture was freezing cold to her but it was from the different cooling plants she had used to soothe the burn as well as heal it. Pausing her humming, "So where are you from?" She continued to slather a thin layer of the paste-like mixture onto his arm, its dark green color with a slight blue-ish sparkly glow to it. The smell of mint was the strongest thing coming from the mix, it was probably one of her truly favorite smells in the world, it reminded her of the holidays that were coming around the corner. She looked up and paused her hand, tilting her hand, "Got any plans for the holidays?" She was curious, it was the time of the year for Khione children, he had to have something interested planned in her mind.

Josh looked how she smiled again, she even giggled, which made him very happy, he realized that even being a winter boy, even being like Jack Frost, he could make someone else to smile, to enjoy a moment. Then he looked again at the window, he didn't know why but looking at a smile, not just Fiona's but other campers or adult's smiles, melted a bit of the thick ice wall that was keeping his heart from feeling warmth. He wasn't ready to feel again.
Then she said that if he got half killed in the Wall, he could go back to the infirmary to get all pathed up. He didn't like to think that he would be burnt again, because he wanted to think that next time he was going to succeed, but she was right, maybe he would get burn again and maybe even killed by the extreme heat. But it was nice to know that there would be someone there wondering if you could make it or not. "Next time I try to hike it, I'll come here either to get pathed up or to tell you that I succeeded" he looked back at her.
She told him about the next thing, so it would be cold, he nodded and swallowed, Fiona could see the sweat running down his forehead and shirtless torso. the pain and the heat in the infirmary weren't the best for someone like him. "ok, just... do it" he smiled again with his weak smile. fiona set the mixure on his arm, she was right it was cold, not as cold as him, he felt it in fact a bit warm, but it was so nice to feel something like that on his injured arm. "It feels fine"
He looked down at her hands, how they worked on his arm, he wanted to tell her how much he regreted the harsh way he used to talk to her when he first came into the infirmary, she was much better than a medic, but he was still too proud to tell her something like that. then she asked where he was from, he looked back at her and after a sigh he replied. "I'm from Helena, Montana in the US" he said remembering his home there, the good times he had there and then the bodies of his father and siblings being ripped by Harpies. He clenched his eyes and then breathed deeply and when he opened his eyes again he was looking at the window again.
She asked if he had any plans for the holidays. Well he didn't, not really. He had lost all the excitement for the holidays when his family died. "not really... I'll decorate the Mess Hall that day, maybe also this building and the lake, but nothing else. I don't celebrate the holidays, not since I got here" and with the holidays he stopped celebrating his birthday which was on December 22th. "you? any plans? where are you from?" he asked just to be polite and in a deep side of his frozen heart, he wanted to know about her.

Fiona watched the boy closely, but she figured he was the distant type, it made her feel a little less bad about herself; she was always kind of down on herself when it came to the opposite sex and any sort of socialization with them. It was not that she was uncomfortable with being social, in fact she was quite an extroverted butterfly; but she was always unsure when it came to one-on-one. Her dad never really allowed any time like that with any male beyond himself, so these situations were still new to her. But she figured if she was going to work in the infirmary, she might as well get used to private chats, just hopefully the Apollo kids would take care of any super private issues... She smirked a bit, "I would prefer to have you come in tell me in one piece, so go find a Tyche child for a little luck. Or just run a little faster at the top... I usually wind up using vines to climb it; if you swing over the lava its pretty easy." She nodded; the one thing that Fiona was really good at was thinking of outside the box solutions to things. She went on with her coating of his arm, "I'm glad it feels fine, this one is all about soothing and healing; the other was about killing and destroying." She grinned a bit as she continued to coat his arm; nodding her head at his answer to where he was from, "Been near there, we had a stop on the tour near there well in the same state at least, I think it was a city called Billings... I am always terrible with remembering all the stops."She looked up from his arm for the moment as he answered her holiday question, she felt a little bit of sadness for him, "I'm having a small, family-like get together in the Mess Hall for Christmas, its nothing big, I don't want a party but just so no one has to feel alone... I mean when I was with my dad it was always humongous parties before, but on Christmas Eve and Day, he always made sure it was just family. And since we, basically everyone here, are the closest thing to real families many of us have right now."She sighed, hoping not to have hit a sour chord, but it was true that many people had no family to go back to when everything was done, she counted herself lucky but she wanted to spread some love around. "Beyond the mess hall gathering, I am just going to be giving small gifts to people and enjoying the snow." She went back to work, but spoke as she finished up the slathering, "And when it comes to where I am from, I lived on a tour bus most my life. Spicewood, Texas has our big ranch so technically that is my hometown, but really the bus was my real home so I have traveled anywhere and everywhere; even when we went internationally my dad was sure we had as close to our main bus as possible... I miss the engine sounds most of all, I sleep better with them."

Josh was really confused about that girl, she was so outgoing, talkative, and that smile worthed a million dollars, but that wasn't what confused him, but her attitude, he had seen that attitude in Aphrodite's children, but they hardly ever got near the infirmary, they hated the blood and the injuries, they didn't like the get their hands dirty. Her attitude towards injuries was like apollo's children, but she had talked about them as if she wasn't one, so... who was her godly parent?
Her comment about finding a Tyche child made him smile again, same weak smile, but at least he had performed that smile that day more times that he had done past year. "I'll do so... but I like to work with my own luck, sometimes they are really temperamental and it's worst for the one that asked for help" he said and then breathed deeply, his arm still hurt like hell, but he could bare the pain, she was very good at what she was doing and he had to admit it.
about her comment of what she was going to do on Christmas, he losthis smile again he didn't like to remember those times, his family, his loss. She smiled and told him about how all of them were family, close or extended, he knew that, but his only close family there, was a Japanese girl that hardly ever spoke to others, much like him. his real family... well long story that he didn't want to remember every 5 seconds.
"I'll see you there, but I hardly ever sit with the people that is having dinner there. I have no family out there and here... well not really." he said and then looked at her, she was still a mistery to him. When she commented about the plants he knew who her godly parent was. And even when she said that she didn't really have a static place to be, she had a home with her father. "Demter is your mother... right?" He said and understood why she needed a garden in a bus.

As Fiona continued her work, her mind was focusing on the guy infront of her's arm as much as possible; but she had a tendency to wander mentally, he just seemed to be the extremely introverted type. It was not uncommon to her for someone not to be as open and well... loud as she was personality wise.
A smirk cam across her lips as his half-smile came back, she wasn't expecting much more than that to come up but when it did she did find it quite elating. She chuckled, "Just give them drachma or gifts they are probably going to be nicer then... I think some of the others feel they are like the gods and deserve sacrafices for their favor." She laughed softly as she finished up the last of the coating of his arm.
She watched his smile fade once again, he probably had some personal stuff he wasn't up to chatting away about; Fiona got that to a certain degree. Reaching up and plopping the jar on the table then grabbing the gauze, tape, and scissors, setting herself down on the bed next to his injured arm.
"You are always welcomed to take a seat by me, I'm not as talkative when I eat, I have a bit too much love of food..." She chuckled and lifted his arm by his hand gently, starting to wrap it just a little tight but not wanting to press onto the wound too much. She nodded and smiled at his guess of her mother, "Yeppers. I'm a harvest baby." She continued to wrap as she looked up and close-lipped smiled at him, "So, what are you into beyond almost losing limbs on the climbing wall?"
