Josh looked at her as she continued working on his arm, he hadn't wanted to accept that it was nice to have someone who cared about him, it was nice to know that even if it was just because she was a compassionated soul, she would care and even be worried if he got injured next time he got onto the wall or if he got injured capturing the flag or even if he went out of the camp as he used to do, just for fun, and an agent wounded him. It was something warm that he kind of liked.
But then remembered that his family died because of that, they cared about him and they died for him, so... it would be better if he just stood away from her, that would save her life, because even friends died to save friends. then she suggested to give something to the Luck godess's children, so they be nice to him and help next time he needed it. "I rather do it on my own, but if I see one of them, I'll ask for some... good luck next time"
Then he looked at the window, some birds were flying out there, he frowned and wondered how they were out there with the cold weather, maybe they were protected by Demter, Fiona's mother, or maybe Persephone was doing that. A second later Fiona talked to him again, she told him he could have a seat next to her next time in the Mess Hall. That was nice of her, but a winter boy in the table of the eternal living plants children... well he didn't think it would be nice at all, at least for them.
"I don't mind you being talkative, you have quite a nice voice" he said in a shallow voice, not being sure to want her to listen to it or not, but he was sure she had listened to it. "Khione and Demter aren't very good friends, Khione tends to kill all the plants that Demter loves, not really wanting so, but it happens, so... I don't think your sisters and brothers would like me to be at your table" He said and then looked at her, with his half, weak, sad, smile.
He thought for a moment about her other question, what he was into beyond climbing the wall. Nothing much right? "I'm the Mess Hall coordinator, so I must check that everything is in order there for each of the meals that are served for campers and adults..." he thought a bit more and continued. "... I train everyday to be a better warrior and also to control in better way my powers..."
But he didn't think that would be a great idea to tell her that every year on Christmas Day he went out of the Camp and visited he old town, to give some gifts to the kids there, to play with them, they called him Frost, and he found that kind of funny. Going there was dangerous, the agents could find him, but he didn't care, he just wanted to give some happiness to those kids, like his father used to do it, when the orphanage took the kids to tours by the forest. "mmm... I think it's all..." he sighed trying to sound convincing. "and you? what do you do besides being a tender, carying med?"

She smiled softly as she hummed away, Fiona was deep in thought truly, she was thinking about what she was going to get everyone for Christmas, how she was going to set up the mess hall, perhaps even what she was going to cook and wear that night... Everything just seemed to be so much, it was like a huge pile of presents and decorations about to fall on her.
She looked back up at the guy as she continued to wrap away, cutting the gauze and taping it down at his elbow before going back to wrapping his upper arm, so he could still bend and move it as necessary. She smiled a bit, "I get the wanting to do it on your own; maybe just ask for luck against getting hurt..."
She went back to humming and smiling to herself, she was enjoying every minute of it. She nodded her head again, smiling brightly now, "I do love to talk..." She chuckle softly to herself as he talked to her about Demeter and Khione kids not getting along, "I don't have an issue with snow and winter, to me it brings sleep and rest, not death. I see it as a cold, icy wonderland filled with thoughts of the future. There is no time of rebirth without a time of death... You can never wake up to a bright new day without going to sleep the dark night before." She was a lover of winter, snow ball fights and the holidays were fun, although lately she seemed over whelmed with all that loomed before her. She smirked slightly, "Besides, I don't always sit with my siblings, some of them get grossed out when I eat meat..." She scrunched her nose just a bit.
She listened quietly as she finished up the last bit of wrapping, picking up the scissors, "That is pretty neat... I never realized that there was even a coordinator; sorry for stealing all those different things... I think that all that training will just get you ready for the climbing wall once again." She laughed again as she snipped the last bit, lightly holding the end piece on his arm.
She leaned over and grabbed the tape, before pulling a piece off and taping down the end. She smiled widely as she did a quick little wrap around his elbow, to protect it just a little bit. "I kinda just tend the garden in my cabin, I hang out with friends, play guitar, research... Nothing really exciting. I do practice as with my other class schedule, but again, not alot of awesome things I guess."

Josh looked up at the ceiling, it was really high and suddenly he got some ideas about winter decorations, but he would have to talk to Chiron about it, because snow or ice in the infirmary wouldn't be the perfect idea, people could get even more sick, if he did so. He looked back at his arm when she was wrapping it, He still could feel the moves and rubs over his arm, but it didn't hurt, he just felt the gauze on his arm as if it was his provitional skin.
then she mentioned that he should ask the Tyche children for some luck to not get hurt, he kept his weak smile on his face. "I'll try not to get hurt next time" he said then looked at her, her sweet eyes, then he looked away again, the window seemed to have something very good to see. "Maybe I should build some simple forts and a couple of dozens of snow balls. Maybe the campers would like that..."
He said as if he wasn't talking to her, but he would love to listen to her opinion about it. But then she told him that she thought different from her mother, that in fact she loved the snow. He frowned a bit and looked back at her, was it possible that a Demeter's child would like the winter and snow, the cold weather and the ice that came with all of that? She explained what she thought of winter, the function it had in the world and why she thought it was good for life.
"That's something new" he couldn't say he liked the hot weather, but he liked plants, flowers, the life that came with them, but he never came around them, his touch was dead to them, well most of them, he was cold and common flowers didn't like cold, they kind of got sad and in few days they tended to die. "I like some flowers, some bushes, they are nice and colorful, but I'm afraid that I could damage them if I come closer." reason why almost no one saw him by the Strawberries field.
he looked at his arm again and smiled, she was very good on that. "thank you" he said then half smiled at her abut the food stealing, he sighed and then he said. "well, let's do this, in payment for this..." he showed her his arm and the bottle of medicines that she was going to give him. "... I won't say a thing about that" he said and then his smile got another degree of kindness and warmth.
then she told him about her usual activities, she seemed to have a wide diversity of activities, He nodded at her. "well better to have a nice calm life and activities, than having Agents all over your head every year" he half laughed then cleared his throat again, he just hoped she didn't ask about that, but if she did, he wouldn't lie to her.

Fiona adjusted once again as she finished up her wrapping, she sat there for a moment, smiling at the great job she had done with his arm, it was going to need to be re-wrapped every day and night, so she was going to have to have him come around a few more times for the next week. At least that was unless she could get an Apollo camper to up his healing process.
"Good idea, no getting hurt for you." She smirked as he looked at her then looked away, "That would be fun, lots of us do love to enjoy the cold weather fun."
She nodded as she stood up and started to clean up, "You're gonna need to rest up here for a bit, I will get you a pillow to elevate your arm." She walked around the small area within the curtain, dropping stuff into the trash and wiping her hands on a wet rag. She laughed softly at his note of her liking cold weather being something new, "In my cabin, there is no such thing as a dying plant, we got so many green fingers and toes that everything lives." She grinned ear to ear before opening up the curtain and walking over to the small cupboard.
"Not a problem, it was my pleasure, I love to do this kind of stuff." She grinned at him for a moment, "I think that's a fair trade, plus I'll start bringing you guys some fresh veggies and fruits, and of course some spices, you guys gotta start getting some better flavors up in there." She giggled as she grabbed a pillow and walked back from the cupboard.
She shrugged a bit as she plopped the pillow on the side of the bed his arm would be on if he laid down, "I guess that is true, I kind of like excitement but I'd rather not risk my life too much, I get that plenty of people here have lived that kind of life and none of them seemed to really like it..."
She smiled as she grabbed one of the wooden chairs and plopped it down by his bed, "I'd suggest ya' lay down and rest, I'm gonna chill out here and make sure you don't wind up with some crazy reaction, you can sleep or continue talking to me either way; I got a book if you'd prefer to close your eyes." She smirked a bit.

Josh smiled when she agreed with him that it would be fun for the people in the camp to have some snow games. He knew his brother Blaze was the Winter games coordinator, but maybe he could help him with some ideas or something like that, maybe he could also help him with the Mess hall decorations, and maybe he couldn't... they weren't really close, so who knew what would Blaze tell him about it, he would go to talk to him later.
He frowned a bit when she said she was going to bring a pillow for his arm, He was going to tell her that he was fine, that he didn't need a pillow for his arm and that he needed to go, but... he wanted to spend more time with her. Usually he hated when people were all talkative, but her voice was relaxing to him, so he liked to listen to it. He breathed deeply and looked how she walked to the small cupboard and then came back.
"I didn't know our food was so dull" he frowned and then half smiled at her. "I would apreciate the spices then" She walked back and told him that she liked a normal life, not to put her life in a risk. He nodded and looked away. then she told him to lay down, he did as she ordered and looked to the ceiling as she said that she would take a sit there by his bed, but he could sleep if he wanted. "I'm fine... I don't sleep much..."
then he looked at his arm, checking that it was on the pillow in a proper way and then looked back at Fiona. "so you like winter..." he said and wondered if she would like to ice skate or not. and if she did, if she would like to go with him, would she accept a small date... 'NO! not a date!!' he slapped himself mentally, a date would imply other kind of interest from him to her and that could put her life in a huge danger. But then he looked her smiled and felt that nice warmth in him again.
"do you know how to ice skate?" he asked as a random question while his mind still was debating if he should invite her to skate or not, if he was willing to risk her to be with him, a reckless, frozen guy!

Fiona shrugged and laughed a bit at him, "I'm used to professional chefs and amazing catering, you gotta see my taste buds are more sensitive than most people's... Kinda like most Demeter kids, just comes natural ya' know."
She nodded, making a personal note in her mind to grow some more exotic stuff, just to keep things new and different. Luckily they had so many different seeds at her cabin that there was nothing but time and options. Definitely throwing in some saffron, that stuff was expensive if you tried to purchase it and so many people missed out on the citrus-y spice.
Looking back at him, she tilted her head slightly, "I can make you some sleep aiding tea blend if you'd like, you can even make it into a slush, I bet that'd be delicious." Fiona's mind was always on helping others, it had so much to do with her heroic mindset she figured.
She started to make her chair rock a bit, "Yep, I love snow and such, I also love the holiday season all the joy it can bring to people around me."
She smiled and nodded at his question, "Yeah I do know how to ice skate, I have my own pair that my dad had made for me before I came here, he wanted me to be able to use the lake and think of him." She shrugged a bit and looked down on her lap where she had started to twist on her bracelets. "I haven't gone in awhile, it would probably be a good idea to go check it out, I bet there are tons of people out there now days..."
She smirked a bit, thinking of a way to hopefully get him to open up a bit, "Plus maybe I could convince you to go with me, then I don't risk falling through the ice and you get to show off your awesome ice and snow powers..." It was a plan, plus it sounded fun to go ice skating again, maybe they could meet up with others and make lots of friendships.

Josh shook his head slowly when she offered him a good drink to sleep, if he slept deeply he would dream. He would watch again and again the moment the harpies killed his father and siblings. He didn't want to see that, it wasn't as if he was running away from his past and the horrible things that happened there, but he didn't like to see it again. "I love slushes, but it's ok, I don't like to sleep much..."
He breathed deeply and then he looked at Fiona again, she said she liked winter season, which made him smiled a bit more. She spoke about happiness and the lake, her skates and how she missed it. But he was still really nervous and confused, he hadn't made up his mind about inviting her to the lake or not, he saw himself as poison to others, and now that he thought about it, he would be a frozen poison to her.
He was about to say something harsh again, something that for sure would keep her far from here before he would damage her, when she made a suggestion of going to the lake and skate with him to prevent her to fall over the ice, that maybe he could show her his powers. He got a slight paint of pale pink on his cheeks and half smiled. "they're not that amazing, you know?"
he asked and then looked into her beautiful bright eyes, "well, maybe when my beautiful medic allows it, you and I can go to the lake and skate" he smiled at her. He couldn't believe that had said such a thing! "also... I don't really need my arm to dance so... would you come to the yule ball with me?" his heart beat like a wild horse, that was something new.
