Lorelei walked towards the graveyard, a large cart filled with winter and night blooming flowers she had been growing in her little loft for the past few months. She had wanted to give the blank field something beautiful, walking over to the large area she had sectioned off, Lorelei smiled.
Elysia cooed softly in her mother's arms as Lorelei picked up her little baby nest she had made her daughter off of the cart and set it right by Lorelei would be working. Wrapping Elysia up in her blanket tightly and setting her down on the soft wool knitted blanket covering the wooden nest. After a few moments of being swaddled and warm in her nest, Elysia had fallen asleep, much to the joy of her mother; Lorelei gave her a soft kiss and a light rub of the cheek with her thumb before going to work.
Placing her hands on the ground, Lorelei cause multiple small sink holes to appear, smiling at her very difficult job. She let out a soft chuckle before going over the flat cart and picking up a couple of different plants. She set one in each hole, giving them a little room to grow. She had been blessed by her mother with a natural green thumb, but with a little assistance of magic she had been able to create plants that grow at an expedited rate and would be large and full by the end of the night and she would never have to worry about the plants dying from cold or heat. Thank goodness for smart Hecate kids.
As she finished placing the multitude of white blooming plants and bushes. She walked over and placed in the center of the area a ring of black roses. It was to surround an eternal flame whenever she could get someone to help her make such a thing to go with her garden motif, she was also going to need some benches and possibly, if it became big enough, a lovely mausoleum that would have the night sky across the top of it...
Lorelei's mind was a flutter with ideas as she walked over and grabbed the multiple bottles that were on the cart, smiling. Another blessing from the Hecate kids, she began pouring the liquids over the top of each plant, a soft glow coming off of them but then they looked normal once again. A slight moment of doubt came over the daughter of Persephone but she reminded herself it was only suppose to make the blooms give off a soft glow and to light the garden at night, year round.
A slight cry was heard coming from Elysia, so Lorelei dusted off her hands and walked over to see the infant had slipped her hand out of the swaddle and apparently was regretting that decision. Chuckling softly to herself, Lorelei picked up her daughter and gently re-tucked her arm under her blanket. As Elysia looked up at her with her grey eyes, Lori felt her heart melt a bit all over again as she walked around the flowers which had already begun to grow, talking to the child in her arms, "Oh dear, Mon Petit Ange how you make me love you more each moment; you are more beautiful than any lily that even your grandmother could make. Sweeter than any honeysuckle and softer than every rose petal... You are the best thing I have ever done in my life, and no matter how much you may not believe me in the future, there is nothing about having you that I will ever regret."
Lorelei's soft, smooth voice had lulled the child back to sleep in her mother's arms. Gently Lorelei put her back down in her little nest, making sure she was snuggled into the warm blanket under the swaddled child. Leaning back up, Lorelei turned back to her work, determined to make the area a beautiful escape.

Joshua walked through the graveyard humming softly partly for himself and partly for the ghost children who he was playing hide and see with. He could hear them giggling. Two little girls and a boy. He then heard a slight cry that somehow he knew didn’t belong to any of the ghost children he was playing with. He stopped humming and slowly walked toward the sound. The ghost children had quieted but he still knew they were there hiding somewhere of course. It wasn’t always easy playing hide and seek with ghosts though especially if they didn’t want to be found.
Joshua walked onwards between the tombstones breathing lightly and stepping softly his footfalls barely making a sound. It wasn’t long before Joshua came upon a woman with a cart of flowers and a basket with small bundle inside. Joshua could only assume the bundle inside the basket was a sleeping baby which was the source of the cry earlier. It had sounded like an infant after all. Joshua silently watched the woman work not making a sound and slowly took a step closer. From the looks of it, this woman was probably a child of Persephone like himself since only a few were known to willingly come into the graveyard. Joshua ruled out child of Hades and Thanatos quickly since she didn’t have that aura that those two usually had from his experience. Besides her surrounding herself with flowers was also a dead give away. Joshua was quiet as he stepped out of the shadows of the tombstones and into more of the light wordlessly.
He was practically behind Lori when he finally did speak. “Good evening. Nice night isn’t it?” he said.

River had no clue what so ever to the reason that he was walking towards the graveyard. He didn't much like the idea that he didn't have many of the usuaul powers that his siblings had. But River was good at what he did. really good. He couldn't see the dead much less talk to them. River thought that sometimes it was better this way. The thought of talking to dead things just made him shudder. Sure that was good for some people, but just not for him. But he felt the earth pulling him towards the place of the dead.
River could feel it before he even truly reached the grave yard. The ground just felt sour, he didn't like it at all. But as he looked around he felt at peace, calm even. This wasn't like any other graveyard he had been to, this place was beautiful. He wasn't much one for the whole flower aspect of persephone, but he could appreciate beauty in the blossoms. There was a woman with a baby here. That wasn't as out of the ordinary as a kid in shorts and bare feet in the middle of October.
Most of the people here River didn't know. They were campers before him and those who had given the ultimate sacrifice. One of these days River would be able to be a great hero, but until then he would have to just bask in their glory. But the woman who had busied herself with making this place amazing. "I never expected this place to be so pleasing to the eye. But it doesn't cover up the sour feeling of the ground." River ran his bare foot over the ashes that were scattered about.
His brother Josh was already here. River nodded and waved at his brother. "Sup man?" He asked. Letting out a dejected sigh, River turned his attention to the ground. It was almost as if felt out of place amongst the dead. It gave him a feeling of unease. He closed his eyes and felt out to the earth, trying to just sense someting normal about this place. But he couldn't feel anything right.

Lori continued to work on her garden even though she started to hear ghostly whispers to her telling her that someone else had joined her in the graveyard. Instead of looking behind her she just relaxed her shoulders and prepared herself for anything.
When the person came up to behind her and spoke, she nodded as she looked over watching Elysia closely, but speaking to the young man who was talking to her, "That it is, its getting cold so I figure get out now while I can versus getting stuck up in my cabin and not being able to finish this til spring comes again." She turned around and smiled, seeing another young man coming up as well.
"Looks like I may be recruiting some assistants tonight." Lorelei chuckled a bit. Her brow furrowed slightly as the next young man mentioned something about soured ground, "It is not soured... It is a quiet resting place for peoples who lives were cut away sooner than wanted, but it is meant to be built for memory and respect."
Standing up she walked back over to her cart and grabbed a big watering tin, "So what are you two doing here in the graveyard at night? Its not a popular hang out site... at least it was not in my day. I hope that this garden will make it more comfortable for people to come and visit. I believe that it will bring happiness to the wandering souls, they need people just to be here."
She walked over and put her hand out to the both of them, "Lorelei Asphodel, Camp Planner, former minor god cabin leader, daughter of Persephone." She smiled her sugary sweet smile, her southern draw still thick, she pointed towards her daughter who had woken up and begun to coo to herself, "Elysia Asphodel Faollan, my daughter."

Joshua nodded to River. “Not too much” he said in response to his brother asking ‘what was up’. Joshua was quiet mostly while River and the woman talked but nodded in appropriate places. “Oh...I’m just playing hide and seek.” He said when asked by her what he was doing in the graveyard at night. He didn’t have to mention that the ones he was playing hide and seek with were ghosts. “I was never really one for popular hang out sites anyways. Although the Graveyard as it is, is quite comfortable to me already.” He continued.
Joshua shook Lori’s hand and nodded. His assessment had been right she was a daughter of Persephone. “Joshua Sixsmith…Son of Persephone” he said. “It is a pleasure to meet an older sister and…neice?” he said. He already knew River because they were the same age and stayed in the same cabin but this adult sister was new to him. “If you would like assistance in gardening I would be happy to assist. The other players in my game of hide and seek have decided to play amongst themselves.” He said as he heard the three children laughing their voices fading off into the distance as he turned his head to look off in the direction they had gone.
Joshua smiled and turned back to the other three, the three living demigods. Children of Persephone in Joshua’s experience were the easiest for him to get along with anyways and didn’t usually find him somewhat off nor did they mind the ghostly presence that always accompanied him.
Joshua was haunted and not matter how much he tried he couldn’t shake the entity off but it usually didn’t bother the ghost children he played with or the other Persephone, Hades or Thanatos kids usually.

River was a little taken aback by this new found sibling. A sister? No way. And an older one to boot. River had a sudden vision of him playing tea party with Elysia with ribbons and bows all in his dirty blond hair. But River figured he had better observe the plesantries and introduce himself to the newest member of this wacked out family tree. "I'm River, Son of Persephone too. It seems like this is a bit of a small world after all." River gave a cheesy grin as he started to hum to the rather anoying disney song. Blast it now it would be stuck in his head from here to all eternity.
"I'm an oddball, I can't do much of the flower or the dead thing, but I'm pretty good at doing geokenesis." River offered up his services. The ground seemed to enjoy being primped up. He figured it was like a girl getting their hair and nails done. A strange thought but a valid one none the less. "I don't normally come out here. I tend to hang out in the forest. I've been trying to help an oak tree that had been hurt ages ago." River kicked a stray random rock and sent it flying a good fifty feet away from the group that had gathered here. River smiled at Elysia and plopped down on the ground beside her. When she cooed, he cooed right back. Levitating rocks in his hands as she tried to snatch them away. He couldn't help but smile. Finally a girl that didn't want to out right kill him.
"What are those flowers over there?" River asked as he pointed to some of the ones in Lori's basket. He wasn't good at naming any or knowing them off the top of his head. To him, flowers were this delicate thing that needed nurturing that River couldn't provide. While most of his siblings had that green thumb, River's was blacker then a crayola crayon. He couldn't keep a cactus alive to save his life. They smelled good and he could keep them alive in water for a few days but that was the extent of his gardening abilities.

Lorelei smiled brightly, for the first time in a very long time she had found a sibling, two at that, "Well its lovely to meet you both! I haven't had a brother around me in a couple years!" She nodded at both of them then looked back at Elysia then at her two newfound siblings.
"Thank you both for offering up your services, I have most of it, but I could use a little bit more man power if I get my way and get to take over most of the field." She looked at Elysia again and smiled, "Yes, this is my daughter and your niece, Elysia Asphodel Faollan."
She looked at River and smiled, "At least you have that, I mean you could've wound up only being able to talk to ghosts, which is fun but can get a little... much." Her attention turned to Joshua, "Those kiddos have the tendency to lose interest in the living after awhile, they get caught up in their own games and wind up running off. When I was younger I used to play tag with them... well freeze tag where if I spotted them I got to yell freeze and they had to stay put, they tended to cheat." A laugh escaped her as the memories came to her.
She smiled as she wiped her hands together and looked around at her small garden, "Well the flowers themselves will be in full bloom and all lit up by the end of the daylight. At this point we will just have to hang around and make sure that none of them are unlit, if they are we pour on some potions and make sure that they are gorgeous."
She looked over at the flowers that river pointed at and smiled, "They are moonflowers, they are night blooming and a lovely white color. Add in the soft glow from the potion and they will be almost a soft cream-blue mix."
She chuckled softly at River and Elysia, before looking back at her garden, hands on her hips talking to the young men beside her.
"So guys, what do you think of having a large memorial garden that lights itself up at night? I wanted to eventually get a large mausoleum that will act almost as a gazebo as well, with a ceiling that shows as the night sky around Mount Olympus, also throw in a bunch of fainting couch style benches through out the garden. I wanted more of a lovely escape in the camp, a strolling garden for remembrance if you will."

Joshua nodded at the words that his siblings spoke. It was true that River was a little odd that he couldn’t do much with the flowers or the conversing with the dead but sometimes Joshua wished he had his brother’s powers. To Joshua they seemed a lot more practical then talking to the dead and growing flowers was. River seemed more in tune with the earth then Joshua was. Joshua watched River play with their young niece for a moment. “Nice to meet you as well, Miss Lorelei.” He said. Joshua was a bit formal from growing up in a church for several years of his life. “Well we’re here to help if you need it. You know us Persephone kids got to stick together” Joshua said.
Joshua nodded at Lori’s comment about the ghost children he had been playing with just moments ago. “Yes well they have always seemed to like me. Even back home, I always gave them the attention that others neglected to give them. And they don’t seem to mind the specter that’s seemed to latch on to me. And I am well aware that they tend to cheat. I’ve been playing with them for years. Not these ones in particular but ghost children in general.” He said.
Joshua was not sure how he felt about magically enhancing the flowers to glow from a potion, but he said nothing about it. He’d have to see what it looked like in the end before passing his judgement.
“The idea sounds appealing, Miss Lorelei. I’m sure the residents here will enjoy the visitors if this place is spruced up. Though the idea of having other demigods not associated with those of the death gods like ourselves, the hades kids and the Thanatos children is a thought I would have never imagined. “ Joshua said.

To be honest, River really couldn't wait to see what this place looked like after they spruced it up a good bit. it seemed like a really good idea and river couldn't see what would be wrong with making this place a little bit nicer other then just the seeming ash and ghosts that he couldn't see. He didn't really figure how much he could help with that despite the fact that its an amazing idea. "I don't know how much I could help but I'd be willing to. There's a load quartz and granite about seventy feet down if you want me to make some benches or a gazebo or something." River shrugged as he continued to play with elysia.
He turned his attention back to his siblings. "Miss Lori, do you think people will come here to pay their respects, much more then just us?" River looked around the graveyard with a smile. he didn't much come here either. It was just the creep factor of not being able to see or talk to the dead that kindda made him feel a bit uncomfortable. Sometimes he wished he could see them and talk to them just past them running around and through him sometimes. It was like being plunged into an ice cold lake or a shower that had run out of hot water. "It would be great if others could see what we've done, so they can pay their respects." he pulled out a small rock and concentrated on it, with elysia watching. The rock started to shake and started to condense. River stopped and if tell to the ground. "stupid thing, its not coal."
"I'm also pretty decent at finding gems and rare metals too. they're much harder to pull up and take some concentration, but I can if you wanted to gem up the gazebo or benches or whatever you want to do with them." River couldn't help as elysia cooed, he laughed. He didn't know why, but Elysia made him laugh and made him smile. He was happy that she didn't want to kill him for trying to be nice. Girls just didn't like him and no matter what he did, he ended up being drove into the dirt. He didn't know what to do about that, maybe his sister could help him in that respect.

She nodded her head at Joshua as he spoke, "I understand, I mean I grew up in a historical plantation that had gone through many of battles, some in big wars, many in just plain fights that escalated. I mean I have grown with so many different ghosts to play with that the thought of someone else doing it only makes me smile."
Her heart was lightened as River continued to play with her daughter, before she looked back at Joshua, "I do thoroughly enjoy having the thought of having siblings."
Lorelei's sight and body turned towards her other brother, River, "I do truly hope so, I mean everyone has a sibling or friend here, lest they know it or not, that soul would love to see them around more often." She smiled sweetly, but she really did truly hope that people would come and enjoy spending their time at the graveyard, not to be morbid or macabre, but just to give the souls a chance to be around others, even if they couldn't see or hear them.
She nodded her head and smiled brighter, "Well you are a rarity, you should go into business with the Hephaestus kids, I mean they'd be more than willing to pay you with whatever you wanted for the chance to work with precious gems." She grinned, hoping that her brother would take her advice, she also knew that it would help him have a purpose at the camp, she felt everyone needed a purpose. "Plus girls love shiny things." She laughed hard at the last part before looking between them.
"You know, what we could use? A pathway, perhaps you can both help me, I am thinking checkerboard pattern with just soft smooth buds that will never lose their shape. I know I have a potion to keep them perfect, but I would love assistance... Maybe some help in choosing colors and the actual flowers themselves..." To River she smiled, "And we do need your help with leveling the ground and maybe even sinking it just a bit to mark the pathway even better."

“I can help wherever you need me. “ Joshua said. He looked to River. He wished that he could tell that there was tons of quartz and granite and other gems deep under the earth but he couldn’t he had to accept that there were things that he would never be able to do. But then again River couldn’t see ghosts or do the whole plant thing either so Joshua supposed he had to pick and choose what he thought about the whole thing. Joshua couldn’t help but smile a little at the interaction River had with Elysia. Joshua was good with dead kids, but had some issues with the living ones, though he’d never really been around any infants. “Well I’m from Amityville, and there are some ghosts around there. Especially in the graveyard new the church I grew up in. So it’s a little strange but I’m more comfortable with the dead then the living usually. Though I’m okay with you two, maybe because we are related,” Joshua said. “Actually…I’d love to help sis but I really have some things I have to do” Joshua said as he shoved his hands into his pocket. “It was nice meeting you Lori. Good Bye River” he said and walked off into the night back to his cabin disappearing into the darkness humming a slightly tune. ((sorry it's short just had to get Joshua out of there)) This Character has Left the thread. Please carry on without him. [/b]
