Out of all the things there was to do at Camp Half-Blood, there was only one activity that Raymond really had no desire to participate in. As the young demigod walked down the path towards his destination, the wind blew directly at him, carrying with it the many smells of the stables that lay ahead. Though Raymond had no real animosity towards the pegasi but neither did he have any love for them, particularly since he never got along well with any animal. Maybe it was just because they could sense how dangerous he was or he just smelled really bad, Raymond really couldn’t tell. All he knew was that most animals wanted absolutely nothing to do with him and he felt the same way towards them.
Regardless, Raymond felt that he had to learn how to ride these creatures eventually, and so he choose this day to try once more. With great reluctance, the young demigod made his way up to the stables and walked in. As he stood just within the stables, a wave of dread crashed over Raymond practically freezing him in place. ’Oh gods, what am I doing here?’ he thought knowing full well that his question would go unanswered by both himself and the gods. Nervously, Raymond looked around at each of the different steeds as they stood in each of their individual pens, feeling and most likely looking completely lost. He tentatively walked over to one of the pens and looked over the magnificent beast within, completely unsure of what it was he should do.

It was feeding time at the stables, and the small woman was lowing making her way to each stall with oats, hay, and mash. She didn't trust anyone else to take care of her pegasi stock, since she had risked her life to bring them back to camp. She had spent seven years alone with the animals, and knew what each one liked, and what they didn't. The only way she could know more about them, was if she was a Poseidon child and was able to talk to them.
Her own steed, Sher Khan, was too old to ride into battle and had long been put to pasture to stud. She affectionately patted the old, black pegasus stallion, before moving to the stall next to his. A beautiful blood bay stallion was there in wait. He wasn't very old yet, only five, and hadn't ever been ridden into battle, but Gangis Khan, Sher's son, was a smart horse that would pick up on battle as soon as he was exposed to it.
She wast startled out of her horse trance when a camper entered the stables, looking and feeling like he didn't want to be there. A frown crossed the woman's face as she walked up to the kid. He was busy looking at Glory, one of the mares that had been here before Heaven had returned. "Hey kid," she said when she reached him. "You here on chore duty or something?"
