When Zephyr woke up this morning he didn’t immediately know something was off. He knew it was April fools day one of the Hermes kids favorite days, since it was all about playing tricks on others. So he knew he’d have to watch his back, even if he wasn’t up for it this year like he normally was in the past. But he was pretty sure his siblings might have something big planned. He woke up and had his breakfast and headed out of his apartment to go for a run. He started off with a simple slow jog but when he tried to tap into his super speed by running faster instead of the trees suddenly becoming a blur around him a gust of wind came up from under him as if it were trying to ‘give him a lift and carry him’. But all it ended up doing was make him trip and fall on to his back landing on the ground. “ow..” he cried seeing stars as he looked up at the sky. He sat up slowly and shook his head of the ‘stars’ wondering what had happened. Getting to his feet he decided maybe after what ever had just happened taking a run might not be a good idea.

Zephyr headed out of the forest maybe he’d find someone to help him figure out what had just happened although he wasn’t exactly going to mention his less then graceful moment.

Issac woke up with the feeling something was not right today and looking at the calendar verified his suspicisions. It was April first and that meant April fools pranks up the wazoo. It was like christmas all over for the hermes children which meant That Issac would need to lock up his potions because he knew that they could find a way to use them in their little pranks and Issac was not looking forward to be held accountable for the actions of another camper. It was bad enough his spells and potions messed up occassionally. Issac walked out of his cabin and walked down into the forest where the apartments were located for the older Demigods hiding from the DCA. Issac often traveled there looking for potions ingredients. He heard footsteps and saw an older hermes child named Zeph take a tumble. He tried to cast a spelll to stop zephyr midfall but it did nothing. Issac quirked his eyebrow and walked closer to zephyr. He did feel the gust of wind but figure it had come from his own spell. "Hey Zeph. something wrong that was a less then graceful fall there. I tried to help but something must of gone wrong." Issac shrugged. "Mind if I go for a walk with you? It has been a while since i chatted with you and felt you might want company." Issac blushed and waited for an answer on whether or not the son of Hermes wanted a visitor, especially after his graceful fall.

Hearing Issac’s voice Zeph’s first thought was ‘awesome.’ Someone had seen his less then graceful fall and he had been hoping no one had but luck wasn’t on his side today he supposed. “Uh…sure I don’t mind. I’m not sure if anything is wrong. My speed’s not working right…maybe I’m coming down with something. When I got sick in the past my powers would start to go all wacky before I realized it. Maybe that’s it.” He said trying to rationalize his fall.

“I don’t mind a chat though. But what do you mean you tried to help?” Zephyr asked. He knew that Issac’s powers didn’t always work right in the first place so he couldn’t help but wonder what Issac had tried to do, but luckily didn’t work and no repercussions preceded. “I don’t know what happened one minute I was trying to gain speed to activate my powers the next a guess a gust of wind swept me off my feet and tripped me, never happened before” he said. “So what’s up anyways Issac what are you doing in my neck of the woods” he asked with a chuckle.

Issac sat down when Zeph said he wouldn't mind a chat. It made logical sense that his powers would go haywire. Then Zeph asked about how he wanted to help. "Well i tried to slow your fall or cause a pillow to appear to cushion your fall. However it did nothing, normally my spells have some kind of effect but it did nothing. I couldn't stop you from falling." Isssac spoke and then began look around his surroundins keeping an ear out for people coming nearby. He remembered the sudden gust of wind. "Well i was looking for potion ingredients. But i am surprised my magic didn't work out earlier. Yes i know you are glad it didn't but really it does something." Issac spoke softly and relaxing enjoying the gentle chat.

“Huh. That’s very strange. But it’s really strange that I don’t feel sick either. But who knows” he said with a shrug. “By the way you know what day it is today?” he asked with a smirk. “It happens to be Hermes kids favorite day out of the year. Well one of them” he said. “So I’d watch your back with your potions and what not if I were you, Issac” he said. “As much as I’m glad your spell didn’t work it’s strange that nothing happened like at all it didn’t even back fire or anything, you know.” He said. "Maybe whatever I got is contagious. God I hope not." he said.

Issac listened to hot son of Hermes. Of course he knew what day what it was but still it was hard keeping Hermes kids out of his ptions. "Sadly I know what day it is. It is the one day of the year where most of my potions will go mising in one day. I will find tons of transformed kids and other various side effects. When i get back to the cabin I will grab my spell book and counteract every potion I find. "Issac shrugged while he thought about what could be effecting both of them. He was surprised that his powers didn't backfire it was like it did nothing at all. "That is odd. I know you are glad that it didn't work but I am surprised it didn't do anything at all. Normally you know my powers would have some kind of effect even when I mess up. " Issac inquired curiously.

Issac thought long and hard. He wasn't sure if they were sick for Issac felt fine and didn't think this was an illness otherwise he would of felt sick. " I am not sure it is contagious. I notice that if either of us was sick we would of noticed something off this morning. I got feeling something was off but only attributed it to the fact that today is April fools and one of my least favorite holiday. So you say that the only thing to happen to you is an odd gust of wind? That sounds interesting. I guess we will not know for sure. Hey i am thirsty you got something to drink? I walked out of my cabin without grabbing a water bottle." Issac asked unaware of what was going to happen. He was just awfully thirsty.

Zephyr chuckled as Issac said today was the day that his siblings caused the most mischief by stealing potions and playing not always harmless tricks and pranks, okay so he didn’t say all that but it was implied.

Zephyr nodded though the fact that Issac’s spell did nothing was a bit unsettling. “That is very strange.” He said. “There’s got to be a rational explanation for what’s going on…then again” he said pausing to shrug. “We are demigods with powers no rational explanation exactly explains us.” He said. “Yeah an odd gust of wind that seemed like it was trying to help me…if that makes any sense.” He said. “Never happened to me before. I mean usually I’m cutting through the wind if you know what I mean, not it trying to lift me off my feet” Zephyr said.

Lucky for Issac Zephyr had been going out for a ‘jog’ and had his water bottle attached to his hip. “Yeah sure, you’re in luck. Catch” he said tossing the water container to Issac luckily whatever was affecting his powers didn’t mess with his aim too much affected.

Issac pondered what was happening. He agreed there had to be perfectly rational explanation. It was true demigod powers were not very logical but Issac had come to just accept that sometimes things were not easily explain. This happened to be one of them and Issac smiled at Zeph. "yes it is very strange but there has to be something but I can't put my finger on t. Oh I want you to please come to me if any of your siblings or someone else has something missing or is a sudden rodent. I will fix this if people steal my potions.I hate to say it but no matter how much i try to protect my potions, if your siblings want to steal them, then there is nothing i can do to protect my potions." Issac smiled. Then he saw Zeph pull out a water bottle the son of hecate smiled and caught it. Then next thing he didn't expect without him even trying or even being aware of what happened, Issac sipped the drink that suddenly turned into a bottle of alcohol. "Wow this is interesting tasting water. " Issac muttered handing back the water bottle to Zeph.

Then Issac brought his mind back to the current predicament of their powers were not working properly. "A gust of wind you say? Well that is odd for i felt that gust of wind. I thought for sure i might of done it, but the odd thing was i hadn't tried to cast a spell at the time of the wind. This is most puzzling and I can't help but love a good puzzle. "Issac smiled and then just stood there his mood lifted slightly. Then he pondered the taste of Zeph's water and was intrigued if one of his siblings had gotten to it and slipped a potion in it. Naturally his magical blood would of cancelled out the effects but, it didn't mean that Issac couldn't detect the traces of a potion. This didn't taste like a potion or something he recognized right off the bat. "Zeph, has your waterbottle left your sight even for brief moment today? I only ask because it has an odd taste to it and i wondered if it is possible that maybe your siblings put something in it or if maybe it is my siblings pulling a prank." Issac pondered with a slightly upbeat tune. This was a good day but something was definitely off about today.

“Sure thing Issac” Zephyr said with a smile. “At the very least I’ll let you know…” he said with a chuckle. When Issac was finished with his water he took the bottle back and put it back where he had been storing it on his person.

Zephyr stopped and thought for a moment when Issac asked if his water bottle had left his side today. “Hm…not that I know of. The only people I’ve been around today have been Liza and Conor this morning but other not sure they messed with it. Why?” he asked as Issac continued on. “Huh…well sometimes I do put fresh strawberries in my water to give it that extra kick of flavor goodness, so that might be it.” Zephyr said and then took the water bottle out and took a sip of it. Zephyr blinked. He’d had alcohol plenty of times before especially in his wild and crazy youth and with his girl friend Eliza around being able to change drinks into alcohol, but usually he expected it when he took a sip of the water and tasted the alcohol in it, he wasn’t expecting it at all.

“Okay now that’s a little strange.” He said as he took another sip to make sure. “Yeah that’s definitely not water, Issac” Zephyr said. “That’s definitely some alcohol there. That’s really strange…” he said.
