Week 1 – 4/15
Alistair felt excited. He had received a message that his diamond like egg had hatched and he was quickly off to the hatchery where he could observe his new creature. He was truly amazed at the creature that was before him. Though just hatched, it looked quite comical, Alistair could tell that it was going to grow into a beautiful and massive creature. At least with dogs, you could tell how big they were going to get by their paws and Barkspawn was already a massive hound. But a Dragon? That was something that was the thing of legends. The lone knight riding into battle atop a mighty dragon, slaying the enemies and rescuing the princess…. That was a good dream to have.
After checking out the board, Alistair collected the required things before moving into the room. He moved slowly, allowing the dragon to sniff his hand before it was bumped by the scaly head. If a dragon had been carved from the crystal, that’s what this looked like. “Maric, that’s what I’ll call you.” Alistair said to the dragon as he curled up beside Alistair’s leg. Alistair gently rubbed the dragon, polishing him as he sat there humming a rather off key song. After about thirty minutes of giving the rather happy dragon a rubdown, Alistair made sure that Maric got plenty of food to eat. The happy dragon tilted his head making a clicking noise deep in its throat. Barkspawn sat quietly in the corner, watching the dragon. “Maric stay.” Alistair said, getting an idea as he backed into a corner. Of course the dragon paid no heed to the words Alistair spoke as he was followed around the confines of the room by the crystalized dragon. “This is going to take some work.” Alistair said, pinching the bridge of his nose.
