Mythological Creatures
[/u] Power Sets
[/center]
[/b]
Centaurs- Immortal, age over long period of time.
At one point notorious for being overly indulgent drinkers and carousers, given to violence when intoxicated, and generally uncultured delinquents.
Most Centaurs were wild and lusty, at least until Chiron began bringing them in to become more civilized and well mannered, his intentions to bring a new light to his kind.
True centaurs were born of sun and rain clouds, until the female centaurs came from some normal horses, and centaurs started out like normal creatures, from conceived from baby to adult
Beyond human strength and agility, due to horse legs
Usually best at bow and arrow or sword, there are exceptions.
Extensive knowledge of fighting and healing practices
Weakness is old ways, they tend to fall back and cling onto their prideful wild pasts which can lead them into becoming reckless in their fighting.
Harpies- Immortal, never aging.[/b]
At Camp Half-Blood there are cleaning harpies and harpies that come to eat demigods that are sneaking out of their cabins at night.
They are immune to lava and fire, as they brush the dishes with it.
They are quick and agile, especially when in the air, it is nearly impossible to outrun a flying harpy.
Their razor sharp claws and teeth are always at the ready to slice away.
Ability to memorize a massive amount of facts they read in books.
Have tendencies to horde and collect items.
Their breath is sour to the point at which it rots food, luckily this has no effect on mortals or immortals, unless they're eating something of course.
When it comes to weaknesses, Harpies are sworn to no longer harm campers who are not breaking direct rules, if they go against this they are pulled into the underworld for eternity.
Ichthyocentaur- Immortal, age over long period of time.[/b]
Upper bodies of men, the lower fore-parts of horses, ending in the serpentine tails of fish.
Due to their fish tail, they are forced to use magically enhanced wheel chairs on land, these make them look as if they were completely mortal.
They are fast swimmers and excellent warriors, usually preferring tritons and spears than to closer ranged weaponry
Can breath underwater, as this is what they are used to
Minor sea creature control, they are able to call upon other water creatures to assist in their fighting if needed
Their weakness is land, on it they are tied to their wheel chairs as means to get anywhere, this hinders their fighting abilities and renders them sitting ducks many of times.
Naiads- Immortal, never aging. [/b]
Only way killed is by celestial bronze weapons or if their body of water dries up.
Able to create small temporary water sources from the ground but these last for a very short amount of time, due to Poseidon not approving of this
Minor control over bodies of water; they can build up waves and bring in tides.
When in water grow arm fins and gills, scales appearing on their bodies and their skin becomes a shade of blue
Their weakness is dryness, they must continually become wet else they lose their energy.
Nemean lions- Immortal, but age over long period of time. [/b]
Cannot be killed with mortal weapons because their golden fur was impervious to attack.
Their claws are sharper than mortal swords and can cut through any armor.
Have enhanced senses especially smell.
Like all monsters they are able to sense electronic signals, this comes in handy during cabin checks.
They tend to be extremely territorial, it is not wise to step into a Nemean lion's lair uninvited.
Their weakest point is the mouth, they can be easily wounded this way if one is able to get close enough through their fangs without harm to themselves, which is much easier said then done.
Nymphs- Immortal, never aging.[/b]
Only way killed is by celestial bronze weapons or by destroying the plant within the forest they are bound to.
Able to nurture and understand all plants
They are not able to go too far away from their plant, tree, flower, or bush; the nymphs are basically trapped within the camp limits.
Minor control over plants; can heal any sick or dying plant and help one grow at a slightly accelerated rate, but not as quickly as a Demigod
When in the forest their clothes turn to vines and flowers, they grow pointed ears, and their skin becomes a soft pink or green, depending on if they specialize in flowers or trees.
Their weakness is destruction, they are bound to try and save any plant from dying if it occurs in front of them, they have no choice.
Satyrs- Mortal, Aging process takes twice as long humans.[/b]
Can detect half-bloods and monsters, if not underground, by scent.[/blockquote]
Can control plants and insects by playing music on their reed pipes.
Can talk to animals.
Have animal-level hearing and smell
Can eat recyclable material; tin, aluminum, plastic, etc, as well as wood and grass
Run at beyond human speeds, along with climbing, as a result of goat legs
Can sense nature magic; such as the Golden Fleece, Pan, and gifts of Pan
Can sense emotions of demigods and of Mortals.
When they die, they are reincarnated as plants or trees, such as laurels, if they are lucky, and flowers, the average satyr.
Can create an empathy link in which they are able to connect with another being who is close to them directly, inabling them to feel how they feel and sense their emotions this is a rare thing due to the dangerous set backs; if either of the pair is to perish the other is surely to die as well or go into a permanent comatose state
Their weakness is compassion, they will lay down their lives to save someone close to them
All Mythological Creatures Can Be Slain By Celestial Bronze Weapons
